The 2017 Shooting Australia Awards of Excellence

The Shooting Australia Awards of Excellence function takes place at the newly redeveloped Belmont Shooting Complex in Queensland this evening, Sunday 3 December. Hosted by Master of Ceremonies Annabelle Williams OAM this event acknowledges the past year’s achievements from our High Performance Athletes, Coaches and Volunteers, and sees the Ashley Adams Perpetual Trophy awarded to the Athlete of the Year.

Athlete of the Year

 Presented by Anne Marie Harrison

The Athlete of the Year receives the Ashley Adams Perpetual Trophy, recognising the best and fairest athlete of a calendar year as voted upon by only Aiming4Gold squadded athletes.

The winner of the 2017 Athlete of the Year Award and recipient of the Ashley Adams Perpetual Trophy is: Penny Smith.

 


Female Shooter of the Year

The winner of the 2017 Female Shooter of the Year Award is: Penny Smith.

 


Male Shooter of the Year

The winner of the 2017 Male Shooter of the Year Award is: James Willett.

 


Para-shooter of the Year

Presented by Miroslav Sipek

The co-winners of the 2017 Para-shooter Athlete of the Year Award are: Chris Pitt and Anton Zapelli.

 


Fellowship Award

Presented by Annabelle Williams and Catherine Fettell

The Fellowship Award is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of the sport of shooting.

The winner of the 2017 Fellowship Award is: Rod Sampson.


Junior Pistol Athlete of the Year

Junior Rifle Athlete of the Year
