If you are heading to Echuca this weekend to attend the ACTA ISSF Nationals as a competitor, spectator or volunteer, there is some important information that you have an obligation to familiarise yourself with.
COVID SAFE GUIDELINES
The event will be compliant with the Victorian Clay Target Associations Community Sport and Recreation CovidSafe Plan that can be found here.
To summarise the key components:
MANDATORY DOUBLE VACCINATION
- All attendees (competitors, staff, officials, volunteers, spectators) must have received their double vaccination and be able to provide proof of this (or provide proof of an exemption)
- Anyone purchasing tokens for practice will be asked to provide their vaccination certificate (digital is preferred)
- Before collecting their athlete competition bib, all competitors must show their vaccination certificate
QR CODE CHECK IN
- Daily QR Code check in is required
IF YOU BECOME UNWELL OR TEST POSITIVE DURING THE EVENT
- Please ensure you immediately notify one of the designated COVID Marshalls

- Isolate as required in your accommodation
- Seek medical advice when/if required
- The COVID Marshall will assist you with identifying and notifying your close contacts and working through the next steps
- The COVID Marshall, in conjunction with event organisers, will make any necessary announcements to the event population and activate any required contingencies
- If you have access to a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) it is strongly recommended you include this as part of your travel kit as a ‘just in case’
ENSURE PHYSICAL DISTANCING
- Try to limit congregating in large groups
- Try to limit any indoor activities including congregating in the clubrooms
- Maintain a distance of at least 1.5m with other individuals
- Limit physical contact including handshaking
- Consider outdoor dining options, in small groups, for evening meals
WEAR A FACE MASK
Anyone over the age of 8 must wear a face mask when indoors and when unable to maintain physical distancing
- This includes when entering the clubrooms to make a purchase to the canteen
- Face masks may be removed when seated inside the clubrooms eating or drinking, but it is recommended you make your purchase and move outside to consume
PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE
- Limit the sharing of any personal equipment
- Utilise the hand washing facilities and sanitiser that is available
- Remember to sneeze or cough into your elbow

ATHLETE MEETINGS
Athletes are strongly recommended to attend one of the Athlete Meetings:
- Thursday 13th January 5pm – Skeet
- Friday 14th January 5pm – Trap
These will be held outside the clubrooms underneath the verandah area and will cover:
- Competition format including new finals format
- Endorsed events for 2022
- 2022 National Team selection criteria
Gleniss Lawrence (Event TD) and Richard Sammon (National Coach) will be available to answer any questions you may have.
ATHLETE BIBS
These will be available for collection underneath the verandah area outside the clubrooms from 8am on Friday. You must collect your own bib as proof of double vaccination must also be provided.
PRACTICE
Practice will be available from 12pm on Thursday (Skeet and Trap) and 9am on Friday (Trap only). Tokens can be purchased from the office at $10 per round, and proof of double vaccination will be required at the time of purchase.
CANTEEN
Drinks will be available for purchase on Thursday via an ‘honesty payment system’. The canteen will be available for breakfast and lunch from Friday until Tuesday.
EVENT COVERAGE
Scores can be followed on MyClubsMyScores.
Finals will be live streamed on the Shooting Australia Facebook Page.
The winning athlete will be interviewed straight after each final.
