Shooting Australia partners with Winchester Australia

Shooting Australia today announced a tailored partnership with leading Australian firearms, ammunition and accessories distributor, Winchester Australia.

Based in Geelong, Winchester Australia has been proudly distributing to and supporting the Shooting sports for over 50 years.

The partnership will see Winchester Australia support Shooting Australia’s live broadcast of the Performance Series Shotgun events which commence with the Yarra Valley Grand Prix at Melbourne Gun Club between March 26 and 28.

The Yarra Valley Grand Prix is a selection event for the Junior World Championships and Oceania Championships to be held later this year, plus the Commonwealth Shooting and Archery Championships to be held in India next January.

Additionally, Winchester Australia will conduct a monthly national competition that focusses on Volunteers and Clubs.

Shooting Australia Chief Executive, Luke van Kempen, said the Winchester Australia partnership breaks new ground for the sport.

“Winchester Australia is a quality company that understands and recognises the important link between community Club participation and high performance,” said Mr van Kempen.

“We are excited to be able to assist Winchester in complimenting their existing partnerships and current activities within the shooting community with this partnership.

As part of the partnership, clubs and volunteers across Australia will be eligible for prizes provided by Winchester each month as we continue to recognise the great work conducted by so many at a grassroots level,” added Mr van Kempen.

Winchester Australia Marketing Manager Jackie Martin said the agreement with Shooting Australia underlines the key role it plays within the sport.

“We are proud to have responsibly served the Australian target Shooting sports community for over five decades. This agreement further strengthens our involvement with Shooting and its wide array of participants,” said Mrs Martin.
