Queenslander Lorraine Hughes has this week joined the Shooting Australia Board.
As a successful clay target shooter herself, Lorraine brings extensive accounting and business management experience from a professional career spanning more than 32 years.
Welcoming Lorraine to the Board, Shooting Australia President Andrew Sims says, “We welcome Lorraine to the Shooting Australia Board. Her knowledge and passion for the sport, her enthusiasm and professional experience, is a very well received and timely addition to the current group of Board members.
Lorraine will fill a casual vacancy due to the resignation of Gleniss Lawrence earlier this year. I take this opportunity to thank Gleniss for her time on the Board and the contribution she made to the strategic direction and management of Shooting Australia.”
Of this week’s appointment, Lorraine says, “I am very excited about joining the Board of Shooting Australia and being able to contribute my diverse business skills and experience. With a passion for the sport, I am very motivated to have an opportunity to contribute to the success of the organisation, supporting its vision to sustain international podium success for the target shooting sports.”
