Having successfully transitioned from the Paris 2024 Olympic/Paralympic cycle to LA 2028 during 2025, SA used the September 2025 to September 2026 period to consolidate its foundations and accelerate delivery of the LA 2028+ High Performance Strategic Plan. Across athlete identification, coaching, international competition, governance and major event planning, SA strengthened the systems, partnerships and capability required to pursue sustained success at LA 2028, and build towards the BNE 2032 home Games.

Over the past 12 months, SA has focussed its people and resources on successfully navigating the transition from the Paris 2024 to the Los Angeles (LA) 2028 Olympic and Paralympic cycles. At the centre of this work has been the development of SA’s LA 2028+ High Performance Strategic Plan and conversations with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) regarding the Federal Government investment required to bring this strategy to life.
