No. of Shots in Qualification – 60 shots in a time limit of 75 min
Athletes advance to Final – 8 athletes
No. of Shots in Final – up to 24 shots
Athletes showcase exceptional precision with 60 shots in the qualification round, narrowing, down to the top 8 finalists. Equipped with air pistols, athletes aim at targets positioned 10 metres away, with each shot demanding control and unwavering concentration. The size of the complete target Is 17cm x 17cm, while the centre point, also known as the 10 ring, is a small 11.5mm!
The finals comprise 2 series of 5 shots before entering the single-shot elimination process. Tension mounts as athletes vie for the top spot, with shoot-offs resolving in case of any tied scores, otherwise 24 shots decide the winner.
