The 2026 V. Masped Shooting Cup was held in Budapest, Hungary from 15 to 19 September. In it’s 5th year, the competition was contested by athletes representing 15 countries. Australia was represented by Jack Rossiter in the 10m Air Rifle Men’s and 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men’s events.
In the 10m Air Rifle Men’s qualification, Jack shot a score of 623.4 and finished ranked 13th. The cut off score to make the 8 person final was 625.8.
In the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men’s qualification, Jack shot 594 to finish as top qualifier, breaking the Australian National record in the process. Jack progressed through to the final where he finished in 6th position.
This competition provided valuable preparation for Jack ahead of his participation in the ISSF World Cup in Cairo, Egypt, in October.
